Jed and Molly Swimwear uses Stretchtex Fabrics to produce our swimmers.
Stretchtex is a fabric innovator with ISO 9002 and Okeotex Standard 100 accredited products. As our commitment to sustainablilty, we will endeavour to continually source sustainable fabrics, fibres and packaging to continue to move to a cleaner, safer environment.
STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®
The Oeko-Tex Standard 100 is the world’s leading label for textiles screened for harmful substances, and Strechtex Fabrics are certified as STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®. This testifies that the yarns are free of harmful levels of more than 100 restricted chemicals. Therefore we can assure you that our fabrics are safe against your child's skin, and on our planet.
Ethically produced in Australia
Jed and Molly designs are created in Lismore, on the Northern Rivers of NSW. The designs are beautifully sewn in Brisbane, keeping production local. We are firm in our belief of supporting other small, local businesses for production as sales. We create small amounts of each collection and digitally designed many of our own prints which makes them exclusive to our brand. Our ability to produce small order runs reduces the amount of excess stock we carry. The quality of the product means it will last and last, enabling a quality garment to be handed down and not go to landfill. We minimise waste by making scrunchies with leftover material and then supplying another local handmade business with the smaller scraps of material to use as stuffing for hand made toys.
PACKAGING
Our orders are packaged and sent to you in reusable, new and recycled natural fibres, No plastic packaging will be used in the mail out process reducing our footprint on the environment.
